Dr Baruzzi Manuel MD, MChiro
In 2007 Doctor Baruzzi obtained the Degree in Medicine and Surgery with full marks at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna (Italy) and subsequently the medical professional qualification.
He graduated with honors in 2011 in the United Kingdom at the end of a full time degree course at Bournemouth University, Anglo European College of Chiropractic, obtaining the title of Master of Chiropractic.
At the same time, the study of Miofascial and Vertebral Manipulation, Functional Rehabilitation, Medical Acupuncture, joint infiltrative techniques, Lifestyle Medicine and Neuro Linguistic Programming is deepened through dedicated seminars with some of the leading experts in the field, mostly in the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy.
Dr Baruzzi is also registered as Medical Doctor with the Medical Board of Doctors and Surgeons of Bologna, Italy, and as Chiropractor with the Allied Health Professionals Council of Mauritius..
The story of a passion
Nature’s wonders and mysteries have always fascinated me, as well as human intellect and psychology, therefore, after having completed classical studies, I applied to the faculty of Medicine.
The intense study of the human being lighted up an additional charm and thirst for knowledge for his mystery.
So, since the early years of university, I integrated my knowledge through, for example, the study of philosophy and clinical psychology.
After graduating in Medicine, I chose to investigate the causes and therapies of a group of conditions with peculiar characteristics, the functional pathologies of the Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal System, like headaches, neck and back pain, joint and muscular pain, tendinitis, etc.
They are so common that every one will experience one of them in life, they severely impact the quality of life, being one of the major causes of drugs consumption and abuse, yet therapies are often purely symptomatic and not effective. Following this interest I moved to the United Kingdom for a few years and got a second university degree in Chiropractic.
At the same time I studied medical acupuncture, functional rehabilitation, manipulation of the fascia and Lifestyle Medicine (more info in the Blog section).
I’m member of the Fascia Research Society, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
The increasing awareness of the strong interrelation between the physical and the psychological spheres led me to the study of the most effective ways of dealing with this reality of body-mind unity, like Neuro Linguistic Programming and Mindfulness techniques.
My Mission
During over 10 years of clinical practice, alongside the continuous study and research, I have had the pleasure of offering my knowledge and skills to the public, diagnosing and treating the most common ailments of the neuro-musculo-skeletal system, with an multidimensional, cause-based approach and a selection of the most effective treatment techniques available.
For this purpose I make use of a wide range of chiropractic and manual medicine techniques, miofascial manipulation, neuro-musculo-skeletal rehabilitation and modern psychological techniques.
I also developed The Self Release Method, a powerful technique of self-help for the release of our psyco-somatic blocks, which are often important causes of pain and dis-ease
My Life
I was born and lived in Italy for most of my life..until..
..until I fell in love with Mauritius, which has become my new home.
My interest in Nature’s wonders finds here its delight as well as my passion for outdoor and sea related sports like sailing, surfing, diving, hiking, etc.
Mauritius’ multicultural charme and Mauritians’ friendliness top it all up to an irresistible level.
